Setting the Grace limits

In this example we will set 3 grace ranges
0-60 kph 10%
61-120 kph 5%
rest 0%

1.     Double click on the Icon of the application, Click on the “Grace” button
2.     Start completing the form from the top down, starting from the lowest speed range to the higest, - first complete the percentage (%) field to activate the rest of the boxes

3.     You will notice as you type in the values, the text at the top will change, telling you whether the data you entered is valid and what you must do to fix it. Only once all the data is valid will the OK button be enabled. Common problems preventing the OK button from enabling include the following:
a.     Grace percentages without speed limits
b.     Overlapping speed zones, eg 0-60 line 1 and 60-120 line 2, this should be 0-60 line 1 and 61-120 line2
c.     If the upper limit is lower then the lower limit.
d.     Invalid characters in any of the fields, the ranges for the limit fields are 0 – 999 and grace % is 0-100

4.     Once you are happy and the Grace ranges are valid, click OK

5.     This will save the values in the machines, registry and you won’t have to set them again

I think he refers to the Abri du Plooy speed converter as "the application" in this instance .... which is downloadable from Abri's website - with the link off the Garmap POI Loader page - below the files.

That's correct Shorty, the program all (?) of us use to convert the speeds every week when the new RS Data files become available.

Have you tried the Alt-PrtScn to capture only the top window to save cropping?

I have tried setting the grace limits on my Nuvi 200 exactly as described, but it does not work. The alarm is still triggered at the original speed, i.e. 120km/h set at 6% grace = 127km/h, however the alarm is triggered at 120km/h and not 127km/h.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
