Hello Don

Are you getting a continuous warning, or a single "beep" when you approach the camera or trap?

A single beep is normal, and you should get a continuous alarm again only when your speed is higher than the setting you have chosen.

Hi pezulu,

I get a single beep and the warning indication on the screen, once I reach i.e. 120km/h. When I exceed the speed setting (127km/h), it does not give me continuous alarm. Therefore the unit alarms only at the initial speed limit of say 120km/h and ignores the grace setting of 127km/h.

Check your settings. (Spanner icon)

Proximity Points

Alerts - tap change

On the bottom bar - tap Audio

Select - Continuous - Speed Alerts.

That should do the trick. (Unless I am missing something)

Unfortunately the Nuvi 200 does not have the facility to select or change the "alert type".

Oops, ok.

Maybe one of the other Nuvi 200 owners will be able to give you the right answer.

Donalduck, when you mention the speed like 120 and 127 are you referring to the cars speedometer or the nuvi's speed indicator?

Nuvi speed indicator will beep once at 120km/h and that is it. I can accelerate to 160 without any continuous warning within that zone.

Ok, think I have solved the problem. I deleted the previously installed custom POI's. Thereafter I installed the new files downloaded today to the SD Card and then transfered the files to the Nuvi internal memory.

Just 1 problem: Once I convert the "Mobile Hazards" file, I am unable to use it. I get "Mobile_Hazards.gpx is not a valid MapSource file and could not be opened." So for the time being I am using the previous file.
