We are pleased to announce the launch of
the first ever Nigeria GPS Mapping Product - Garmap Nigerian
Streetmaps Version 1 - for use with Garmin map enabled
GPS systems. Garmap Nigerian Streetmaps has been produced
by Tsala Technology CC in conjunction with MapIT Nigeria
and Garmap Africa and is distributed through participating
Garmin dealers in Nigeria. The Nigerian Streetmap product
contains routable street level data for Lagos and a routable
road network for Nigeria - including through routes within
other cities and towns. Powerful point of interest (POI)
search capabilities and routing technology as well as
information such as lodging, filling stations, banks,
contours (100m) forests and much more.
WHICH
AREAS DO GARMAP NIGERIAN STREETMAP VERSION 1 COVER?
Garmap Nigerian Streetmaps Version 1 covers
the whole of Lagos City and immediate surroundings at
street level detail. The rest of Nigeria is covered at
a regional scale with through routes within cities and
towns.
WHAT ABOUT THE REGIONAL INTERCITY
AND TOWN MAPS?
The regional map covers an updated
road network of Nigeria and is accurate to a scale of
1:50 000

ON?
Auto routing, address and POI search available
for auto routing and search capable Garmin GPS units.
These features are not available for non-auto routing
and non-searchable GPS units.

PRODUCT REGISTRATION
On the outer packaging the client will find
a product registration number. He will need to follow
a simple registration procedure on the Internet to enable
him to upload the mapping data to his GPS. Our staff has
been trained in this procedure and will be able to assist
clients who experience difficulty.
CAN I USE THE GARMAP PRODUCT AS
A PC SOFTWARE KIT WITH MY NON MAP ENABLED GPS?
Garmap allows you to upload and download
route, waypoint and tracklog data as well as real time
positioning on your PC display. You will only be able
to use it as a PC software kit, you will not be able to
upload maps to a non-map enabled GPS.
CD COPYING
Please note that the data on the Garmap
products are licensed to a third party and any person
copying this CD may face prosecution by the owner of the
licensed mapping data.
WHAT ABOUT UPDATES?
Updates will be available on
the internet for those people who register their product.
Please be sure to provide your e mail address on registration
so that we can keep you updated.
RETURNS
A sealed plastic wrapper will
cover the Garmap CD and no returns will be accepted once
this wrapping has been opened.
